![]() I am a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University's Political Science Department and the post degree teaching certification program at the University of Missouri - St. Louis. I am also a graduate of the University of Missouri - Columbia with a Master's Degree in Information Science and Learning Technology. I enjoy teaching and learning in all areas, but especially those of social studies and technology. It is my goal to use technology in my classroom on a daily basis to facilitate and increase student engagement and learning. I want to foster a sense of responsibility towards learning within all of my students...teach them to investigate and construct meaning...not just tell them what they need to know. My wonderful wife, Kate, is a former teacher for Special School District and is one of the coolest people I've ever met. She is currently a full-time PhD student at the University of Missouri - Columbia. We have a beautiful daughter, called Ellinore, who was born January 2010. We also have a super awesome dog whose name is Wilson and who catches frisbee like it's his job. I love my friends, my family, my free time, traveling, having adventures, and seeing live music.
Teaching is a fantastic career and I have a great time doing it.
